# Safeguard Security vs hyyp+

The clearest difference is update cadence: hyyp+ at every 3 weeks against Safeguard Security's every 8 months. Safeguard Security's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Safeguard Security ships an update every 8 months, hyyp+ every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
