# Polywave vs Synth Pro

The clearest difference is ads: Polywave at none against Synth Pro's shown. Polywave also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 71%) and device support (4 vs 2). Synth Pro's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (555 vs 34). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Polywave sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Synth Pro sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Polywave against 4.6 for Synth Pro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Synth Pro has 555 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Polywave's written reviews are positive against 71% of Synth Pro's.

Polywave ships an update every 3 months, Synth Pro monthly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
