# Polywave vs Molecule Music

The clearest difference is update cadence: Molecule Music at every 8 days against Polywave's every 3 months. Polywave's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Polywave sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Molecule Music sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Polywave ships an update every 3 months, Molecule Music every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
