# Assignr vs GameSource Officials

The clearest difference is monetization model: GameSource Officials at free against Assignr's subscription. GameSource Officials also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 6 weeks). Assignr's advantage is ratings volume (8.3K vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Assignr against 5.0 for GameSource Officials. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Assignr has 8.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Assignr ships an update every 6 weeks, GameSource Officials daily. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
