# Livy Method vs hashiRun

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Livy Method at none against hashiRun's 6. Livy Method also leads on review sentiment (81% vs 60%) and ratings volume (38 vs 1). hashiRun's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. hashiRun sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per year. Livy Method asks for nothing beyond the download.

hashiRun holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Livy Method has 38 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Livy Method's written reviews are positive against 60% of hashiRun's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Livy Method ships an update weekly, hashiRun every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
