# Lights Camera Action vs Story

The clearest difference is rating: Story at 5.0 against Lights Camera Action's 4.3. Lights Camera Action's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (13 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lights Camera Action sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Story sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Story holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lights Camera Action has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lights Camera Action ships an update every 10 days, Story weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
