# privatePhotos vs AlbenPlus

The clearest difference is update cadence: AlbenPlus at fortnightly against privatePhotos's every 5 weeks. privatePhotos's advantage is iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. privatePhotos sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AlbenPlus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

privatePhotos ships an update every 5 weeks, AlbenPlus fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
