# THE STAR vs 34HD

The clearest difference is rating: 34HD at 3.6 against THE STAR's 1.0. 34HD also leads on ratings volume (10 vs 1). THE STAR's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

34HD holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 34HD has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

THE STAR ships an update monthly, 34HD every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
