# Duffl vs BAR

The clearest difference is rating: BAR at 5.0 against Duffl's 4.4. BAR also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Duffl's advantage is ratings volume (193 vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BAR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Duffl has 193 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Duffl ships an update weekly, BAR fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
