# AmiiBoss vs Amii NFC

The clearest difference is rating: AmiiBoss at 4.5 against Amii NFC's 3.9. AmiiBoss also leads on ratings volume (669 vs 38). Amii NFC's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AmiiBoss sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Amii NFC sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AmiiBoss holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AmiiBoss has 669 ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 69% and 70% positive.

AmiiBoss ships an update monthly, Amii NFC every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
