# Riddle Test vs Flashback

Riddle Test and Flashback both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 48% of Flashback's written reviews are positive against 8% of Riddle Test's. Flashback also leads on chart position (#12 vs #127) and ratings volume (178K vs 35K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Riddle Test sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Flashback sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashback holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashback has 178K ratings behind it against 35K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 8% of Riddle Test's written reviews are positive against 48% of Flashback's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
