# Server For Discord vs ESET VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: Server For Discord at free against ESET VPN's subscription. Server For Discord also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Server For Discord holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 503 and 571 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Server For Discord's written reviews are positive against 45% of ESET VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Server For Discord ships an update monthly, ESET VPN every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
