# KDE Connect vs Remote Keyboard & Mouse

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: KDE Connect at none against Remote Keyboard & Mouse's 7. KDE Connect also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (61% vs 33%). Remote Keyboard & Mouse's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remote Keyboard & Mouse sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. KDE Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

Remote Keyboard & Mouse holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KDE Connect has 279 ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of KDE Connect's written reviews are positive against 33% of Remote Keyboard & Mouse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KDE Connect ships an update every 3 months, Remote Keyboard & Mouse monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
