# Amiibox vs Boon!

Amiibox and Boon! both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Boon!'s written reviews are positive against 61% of Amiibox's. Boon! also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Amiibox's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 18) and device support (6 vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Amiibox sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and Boon! sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Amiibox against 4.7 for Boon!. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amiibox has 1.9K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of Amiibox's written reviews are positive against 100% of Boon!'s.

Amiibox ships an update every 2 months, Boon! fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
