# Amiibox vs Tamapic

The clearest difference is rating: Amiibox at 4.7 against Tamapic's 3.7. Amiibox also leads on ratings volume (1.9K vs 7) and device support (6 vs 2). Tamapic's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Amiibox sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Tamapic asks for nothing beyond the download.

Amiibox holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amiibox has 1.9K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Amiibox's written reviews are positive against 75% of Tamapic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Amiibox ships an update every 2 months, Tamapic every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
