# Motion vs Taskmo

The clearest difference is rating: Motion at 4.1 against Taskmo's 3.0. Motion also leads on ratings volume (1.9K vs 2). Taskmo's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Motion sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per month and Taskmo sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Motion holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Motion has 1.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Motion ships an update weekly, Taskmo every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
