# Clank! vs Authority Counter

The clearest difference is price: Authority Counter at Free against Clank!'s $10.99. Authority Counter also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (100% vs 71%). Clank!'s advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 3) and chart position (#64 vs unranked). On rating, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Authority Counter is free to download; Clank! costs $10.99 up front. Clank! sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Authority Counter asks for nothing beyond the download.

Clank! holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clank! has 1.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Clank!'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Authority Counter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
