# RoyalBook vs HIMC

The clearest difference is update cadence: RoyalBook at weekly against HIMC's every 3 months. RoyalBook also leads on ratings volume (478 vs 65). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for RoyalBook against 4.9 for HIMC. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RoyalBook has 478 ratings behind it against 65, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of RoyalBook's written reviews are positive against 100% of HIMC's.

RoyalBook ships an update weekly, HIMC every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
