# Nex vs Cascade Worker

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cascade Worker at every 10 days against Nex's every 3 months. Cascade Worker also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6). Nex's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 40%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cascade Worker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 67 and 78 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Nex's written reviews are positive against 40% of Cascade Worker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nex ships an update every 3 months, Cascade Worker every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
