# MAKE vs Appstart

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Appstart at 86% against MAKE's 25%. Appstart also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ratings volume (442 vs 13). MAKE's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MAKE sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per 3 months. Appstart asks for nothing beyond the download.

MAKE holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Appstart has 442 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of MAKE's written reviews are positive against 86% of Appstart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on September 28, 2026.
