# Vacation Planner Countdown vs Stakeout

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Vacation Planner Countdown at none against Stakeout's 6. Vacation Planner Countdown also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). Stakeout's advantage is ratings volume (6.8K vs 2) and chart position (#34 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stakeout sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Vacation Planner Countdown asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Vacation Planner Countdown against 4.9 for Stakeout. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stakeout has 6.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vacation Planner Countdown ships an update every 3 weeks, Stakeout every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 7, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
