# Translator vs NoteOnly

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NoteOnly at 100% against Translator's 58%. NoteOnly also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 4). Translator's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Translator sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. NoteOnly asks for nothing beyond the download.

NoteOnly holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Translator has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Translator's written reviews are positive against 100% of NoteOnly's.

Translator ships an update every 8 days, NoteOnly every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
