# Bestie Wars vs Makeup Kit

The clearest difference is ads: Makeup Kit at none against Bestie Wars's shown. Makeup Kit also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bestie Wars holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3K and 5.9K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Bestie Wars's written reviews are positive against 44% of Makeup Kit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bestie Wars ships an update monthly, Makeup Kit every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
