# Twinkl Formation & Handwriting vs The Alphabet

The clearest difference is review sentiment: The Alphabet at 100% against Twinkl Formation & Handwriting's 41%. Twinkl Formation & Handwriting's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Twinkl Formation & Handwriting sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and The Alphabet sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Twinkl Formation & Handwriting holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 63 and 112 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Twinkl Formation & Handwriting's written reviews are positive against 100% of The Alphabet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
