# mood! vs GhostDiary

The clearest difference is ratings volume: GhostDiary at 181 against mood!'s 5. GhostDiary also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. mood! sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and GhostDiary sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for mood! against 4.7 for GhostDiary. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GhostDiary has 181 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of mood!'s written reviews are positive against 87% of GhostDiary's.

mood! ships an update every 9 days, GhostDiary fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
