Get to know someone, one book at a time. Or simply read a good book to the end. Folio is an app for people who read. Use it on your own to track your books, jot down thoughts, keep a little reading journal and decorate your own book room. Or find someone to read with, and get to know each other as you finish a book together. - Reading journal Read a little every day, and keep every day of it. • Check in with a photo of what you're reading, how far you got and a few words. No photo? Check in anyway • Every reading day becomes a square on your calendar • "Start reading" is a quiet timer. Log the page you reached and your shelf moves forward • Set a goal: read a few days a week, finish a number of books this month or this year, or work through a list • Get a stack of recap cards each month, turn a favorite line into a quote card, or lay this month's books onto a phone wallpaper • Scan a page and a passage becomes the text of a sticky note - Everyone's sticky notes Every book has a public wall where you can see what other readers left at the same part of the book. • The wall is split into six bands by reading progress, and each band opens as you read on, so later parts stay hidden until you get there • Post a note to the wall if you like, anonymously if you prefer, and take it back any time • Tap a nickname to see what that reader wrote on other books, and add them as a friend • Rate books from one to five stars and read reviews. No one sees how many stars you gave - A room of your own Folio works as your private reading log too: books, sticky notes and reflections. Matching is an option, not a requirement. Decorate a virtual book room with backgrounds and ornaments, arrange your books, and pin notes outside for visitors. Keep it private, share a link, or make it public. - Three stances, mutual respect Pick why you're here so others know what you're looking for: • Reading friends only: just looking for people to read with • Looking for fate: hoping books lead to deeper bonds • Open to either: depends on the person and the book Your stance changes who you see on Explore. Respect goes both ways. - Reading together 1. Post an invitation for a book you want to read, and say what kind of reading partner you hope for 2. Others apply with a short form about how they'd like to read 3. Once you match, you share a co-reading room. Free chat unlocks after you both reach 25% and each leave a sticky note on the room's wall 4. Finish with a reflection you can turn into a share image for Instagram or Threads - Drift bottles Send one drift bottle a day to a reader you don't know yet. It washes up with someone in the evening, who can keep it, write back or let it drift on. Until you both choose to be pen pals, each of you only sees "a reader far away". - What we believe Quality over quantity. Up to five posts a day. No read receipts, no online status, no leaderboards. Time to get to know each other before chatting freely. - For readers who mean it Folio is for people aged 18 and over. No swiping, and no photos of yourself required. Report or block anyone who makes you uncomfortable; we review every report. You can delete your account any time in Settings. - Support Folio Two plans, Supporter and Super Supporter, billed monthly or yearly. Supporters get every background, paper and layout, cloud backup of their check-in photos so they follow you to a new phone, more book rooms and custom book spines. All core features are free. New subscribers can try it free for 3 days. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your chosen plan starts and you are charged. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Cancel any time in your App Store subscription settings.
