# Malaska Golf vs Setup 4 Impact Golf Coaching

The clearest difference is monetization model: Setup 4 Impact Golf Coaching at freemium against Malaska Golf's subscription. Setup 4 Impact Golf Coaching also leads on ads (none vs shown). Malaska Golf's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (223 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Malaska Golf sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $16.99 per month and Setup 4 Impact Golf Coaching sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Malaska Golf holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Malaska Golf has 223 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Malaska Golf's written reviews are positive against 100% of Setup 4 Impact Golf Coaching's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
