# kntd vs Knit Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Knit Pro at 4.5 against kntd's 3.4. Knit Pro also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (149 vs 5). kntd's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 65%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. kntd sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Knit Pro sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $11.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knit Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knit Pro has 149 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of kntd's written reviews are positive against 65% of Knit Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

kntd ships an update every 7 months, Knit Pro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
