# Rayyan vs MindSpace

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MindSpace at 89% against Rayyan's 37%. MindSpace also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rayyan sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and MindSpace sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindSpace holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MindSpace has 287 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 37% of Rayyan's written reviews are positive against 89% of MindSpace's.

Rayyan ships an update every 5 weeks, MindSpace every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
