# Rayyan vs E

The clearest difference is rating: E at 5.0 against Rayyan's 3.8. E also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 14) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). Rayyan's advantage is ratings volume (23 vs 2). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rayyan sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. E asks for nothing beyond the download.

E holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rayyan has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rayyan ships an update every 5 weeks, E weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
