# Location Tracker vs Hereroo

The clearest difference is rating: Hereroo at 5.0 against Location Tracker's 4.2. Hereroo also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months). Location Tracker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (71 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hereroo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Location Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hereroo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Location Tracker has 71 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Location Tracker's written reviews are positive against 39% of Hereroo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Location Tracker ships an update every 5 months, Hereroo every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
