# AdSpamBlock vs RingPlus

The clearest difference is monetization model: RingPlus at free against AdSpamBlock's free with in-app purchases. AdSpamBlock's advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 57%) and ratings volume (640 vs 72). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for AdSpamBlock against 4.6 for RingPlus. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AdSpamBlock has 640 ratings behind it against 72, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of AdSpamBlock's written reviews are positive against 57% of RingPlus's.

AdSpamBlock ships an update monthly, RingPlus every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
