# Solitaire vs Mint Solitaire

The clearest difference is rating: Solitaire at 4.7 against Mint Solitaire's 4.3. Solitaire also leads on ratings volume (37K vs 85) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solitaire sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Mint Solitaire sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Solitaire holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solitaire has 37K ratings behind it against 85, so its average is the more settled of the two.
