# Proca vs Encrypted Cam

The clearest difference is update cadence: Encrypted Cam at every 5 days against Proca's every 3 weeks. Encrypted Cam also leads on device support (4 vs 2). Proca's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Proca sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per month and Encrypted Cam sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Proca ships an update every 3 weeks, Encrypted Cam every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
