# BSDS vs Advance

The clearest difference is update cadence: BSDS at every 6 days against Advance's every 3 months. Advance's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 11.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for BSDS against 5.0 for Advance. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Advance has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BSDS ships an update every 6 days, Advance every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
