# Notes vs JotLo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: JotLo at none against Notes's 3. JotLo also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months). Notes's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. JotLo asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Notes against 5.0 for JotLo. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notes ships an update every 3 months, JotLo every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
