# WXPR vs Ravinia

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WXPR at 100% against Ravinia's 14%. WXPR also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 12 months). Ravinia's advantage is ratings volume (6.3K vs 26) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WXPR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ravinia has 6.3K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of WXPR's written reviews are positive against 14% of Ravinia's.

WXPR ships an update every 3 months, Ravinia every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
