# Elementkey vs Olight

The clearest difference is ads: Elementkey at none against Olight's shown. Olight's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Elementkey ships an update every 6 months, Olight every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
