# Chat Note vs Buddi

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Chat Note at 100% against Buddi's 50%. Chat Note also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Buddi's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 2.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chat Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Buddi asks for nothing beyond the download.

Buddi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Chat Note's written reviews are positive against 50% of Buddi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chat Note ships an update every 2 months, Buddi daily. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
