# Chat Note vs CraftNote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Chat Note at 100% against CraftNote's 53%. Chat Note also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). CraftNote's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 2.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chat Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CraftNote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CraftNote holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CraftNote has 4.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Chat Note's written reviews are positive against 53% of CraftNote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chat Note ships an update every 2 months, CraftNote weekly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
