# TTS vs Text to Speech

The clearest difference is update cadence: Text to Speech at every 3 weeks against TTS's every 3 months. Text to Speech also leads on iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TTS sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Text to Speech sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TTS ships an update every 3 months, Text to Speech every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
