# Samurai vs SushiFun

Samurai and SushiFun both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of SushiFun's written reviews are positive against 36% of Samurai's. SushiFun also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (64 vs 8). Samurai's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Samurai against 4.4 for SushiFun. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SushiFun has 64 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 36% of Samurai's written reviews are positive against 83% of SushiFun's.

Samurai ships an update every 5 months, SushiFun every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
