# Okutara vs Modi

The clearest difference is rating: Okutara at 5.0 against Modi's 4.4. Okutara also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). Modi's advantage is ratings volume (23 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Modi sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Okutara asks for nothing beyond the download.

Okutara holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Modi has 23 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Okutara ships an update every 6 weeks, Modi fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
