# Noble Notes vs Notebook

The clearest difference is monetization model: Notebook at free with in-app purchases against Noble Notes's subscription. Notebook also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (122 vs 3). Noble Notes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Noble Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and Notebook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Noble Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notebook has 122 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Noble Notes's written reviews are positive against 93% of Notebook's.

Noble Notes ships an update every 16 months, Notebook every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
