# Font Maker vs Doll AI

The clearest difference is monetization model: Font Maker at free with in-app purchases against Doll AI's subscription. Font Maker also leads on ratings volume (8.2K vs 22). Doll AI's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (daily vs every 4 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Font Maker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Doll AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Doll AI holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Font Maker has 8.2K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Font Maker ships an update every 4 weeks, Doll AI daily. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
