# Font Maker vs Stop Motion

The clearest difference is monetization model: Font Maker at free with in-app purchases against Stop Motion's subscription. Font Maker also leads on ratings volume (8.2K vs 23). Stop Motion's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (33% vs 20%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Font Maker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Stop Motion sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Font Maker against 4.4 for Stop Motion. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Font Maker has 8.2K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 20% of Font Maker's written reviews are positive against 33% of Stop Motion's.
