# Mistero VPN vs MathAce

The clearest difference is monetization model: MathAce at free with in-app purchases against Mistero VPN's subscription. MathAce also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). Mistero VPN's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 59%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mistero VPN sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and MathAce sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MathAce holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MathAce has 8.8K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Mistero VPN's written reviews are positive against 59% of MathAce's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
