# Depict vs SpeechNotes ·

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Depict at 75% against SpeechNotes ·'s 29%. Depict also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). SpeechNotes ·'s advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (125 vs 11). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Depict sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and SpeechNotes · sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpeechNotes · holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SpeechNotes · has 125 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Depict's written reviews are positive against 29% of SpeechNotes ·'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Depict ships an update every 5 days, SpeechNotes · fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
