# Brilliant Bible vs Scripture

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Scripture at 100% against Brilliant Bible's 44%. Scripture also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks). Brilliant Bible's advantage is ratings volume (4.6K vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brilliant Bible sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Scripture sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scripture holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brilliant Bible has 4.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 44% of Brilliant Bible's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scripture's.

Brilliant Bible ships an update every 4 weeks, Scripture every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
