# SAM vs Fluently

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SAM at none against Fluently's 23. SAM also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.4). Fluently's advantage is ratings volume (6.2K vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fluently sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. SAM asks for nothing beyond the download.

SAM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fluently has 6.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SAM ships an update every 11 days, Fluently weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
